Given the politics of the moment with ongoing genocides we have seen mixed responses to the call for solidarity from critical scholars, and researchers. The response to this has been diverse. We have seen increased advocacy, tensions, action, communities of resistance, silence, and complicity. This presentation examines the complexities and possibilities of solidarity work by people coming from different locations, experiences, across borders and what we can learn from those experiences. Using a critical reflexive approach, the notion of political solidarity as resistance is explored with suggestions on how this might be leveraged into actioned critical action in these times.
