Abstract

Garcia as a QuantCrit and Chicana/Latina feminista scholar (Gillborn et al., 2018; Garcia et al., 2018), will explore the burgeoning field of Quantitative Ethnography. Using an epistolary method (Escobedo & Camargo Gonzalez, 2022), the study is rooted in narrative, resistance, and community engagement, framed within Critical Race Feminista Quantitative Praxis. It incorporates Epistemic Network Analysis (Garcia et al., 2022) to analyze and quantify qualitative data. This analytical tool, integral to Quantitative Ethnography (QE) (Shaffer, 2017), utilizes principles of social network and discourse analysis to create network models. These models highlight the connections and measure the strength of associations between elements, allowing for direct comparisons and the generation of summary statistics.
