Thu, April 24, 1:45 to 3:15pm MDT (1:45 to 3:15pm MDT), The Colorado Convention Center, Floor: Exhibit Hall Level, Exhibit Hall F - Poster Session

Abstract

Our overarching objective is understanding how early educational experiences can support or thwart the development of entrepreneurial tendences. This online, convergent mixed methods study employing the Cognitive Edge SenseMaker® tool offers insights for transforming the field of education to better support the development of entrepreneurial tendencies. We use a broad definition of entrepreneurs, recognizing social entrepreneurs solving society’s most challenging problems and intrapreneurs who innovate within organizations where they work along with the more commonly understood entrepreneurs who create business that meet customers' needs through products and services. Perspectives from today’s innovators, problem solvers, and creators provide valuable insights into how educational change can foster or thwart the passion and promise of future generations.
