Using the approach of document analysis and thematic analysis, this study analyzes state standards and school objectives that three teachers integrate into curricula and teachers’ practices of integration in a senior class that engaged in a research project. Teachers designed aims, instructional activities, and assessment criteria for this project which align with many considerations to support students’ research experience. Analysis of teacher documents elaborated the teacher practices in integrating [anonymized] state standards for research skills and two school-based objectives into the designs for research, which design many scaffoldings for the achievement of standards and objectives.
