Wed, April 23, 10:50am to 12:20pm MDT (10:50am to 12:20pm MDT), The Colorado Convention Center, Floor: Ballroom Level, Four Seasons Ballroom 2-3

Abstract

Quality matters in methodology. Adherence to accepted quality standards is a key measurement tool for editors and peer reviewers. This ongoing research project aims to separate out that which is case study research, defined by quality standards and careful methodological integrity, and that which is simply using the label of case study as a catch-all term for poorly defined research projects. Through a rigorous peer review process, 13 quality indicators were defined, and a scoping review of the literature is underway to determine how the gifted education literature uses case study research and adheres to accepted standards of quality in case study research.
