Abstract

Recognizing the importance of the connection, it is surprising that the evidence among socioeconomic justice, shared leadership and governance, and teacher-professional collaboration is still limited. This study is interested in whether schools with socioeconomic disadvantages are challenged with leadership distribution and teacher collaboration due to distributive injustice. Using the 2018 TALIS data, the study revealed that the school’s human capital is fundamental for distributed leadership and professional collaboration. Schools with disproportional poverty and special-needs students had more challenges for the leader to fulfill leadership functions and promote teacher collaboration through a distributed and shared model.
