Abstract

This study examines the availability and participation rates of Advanced Placement (AP) courses in rural and non-rural high schools in Georgia (USA) during the 2021-2022 academic year. Utilizing data from The Governor’s Office of Student Achievement and the Common Core of Data, the study conducts a one-way ANOVA analysis to determine disparities in AP course offerings and participation. Preliminary results indicate that nonrural schools have higher median participation rates in AP tests compared to rural schools.
