Abstract

This paper addresses the varied landscape of teacher professional learning by streamlining language and aligning frameworks to create a cohesive understanding for practitioners. It emphasizes the need for collaborative, active, sustained, and equity-focused professional learning to improve teaching practices and student outcomes. Key elements of Curriculum-Based Professional Learning (CBPL) are explored, highlighting the importance of unified approaches in enhancing educator development. The paper underscores the critical role of coaching and expert support, advocating for comprehensive training that integrates high-quality instructional materials. By promoting agreement and alignment among different entities, this research aims to maximize the collective impact of professional learning initiatives, especially in the post-COVID educational context.
