Abstract

This paper will share insights about how three critically conscious and humanizing researchers with commitments to equity, justice, and liberation designed a qualitative research course in a way that provided graduate students with methods and methodologies for (1) engaging in liberatory, decolonial, and anti-oppressive educational research, and (2) building relationships of care and dignity with youth and communities. We believe our attention to graduate school education as a site for working toward justice and equity can repair past harm and renew more just and inclusive present and future educational possibilities.
