This paper studies the experience of transnational Chinese parents in the pandemic from the practices of anti-Asian racism. The research aims to explore parental practices against the backdrop of the surging anti-Asian racism, mass online education, and the global crisis. Adopting the Asian critical theory as the theoretical framework and analyzing the ethnographic interview data of sixty-seven families with children, we found that the rise in anti-Asian sentiment in the United States has created challenges for Chinese American families, prompting parents to adopt various strategies to protect their children while also highlighting the need for broader societal changes to foster inclusivity and understanding for future generations.
