Fri, April 25, 1:30 to 3:00pm MDT (1:30 to 3:00pm MDT), The Colorado Convention Center, Floor: Ballroom Level, Four Seasons Ballroom 1

Abstract

This study examines the differences between full-time and part-time Career and Technical Education (CTE) instructors in teaching practices, student engagement strategies, and time allocation. Utilizing data from the Community College Faculty Survey of Student Engagement (CCFSSE), the research investigates demographic variations, assessment techniques, instructional approaches, and the integration of student services among CTE instructors. The study aims to understand how instructors engage students beyond the classroom and encourage supplemental support. By analyzing these factors, this research seeks to contribute to the growing body of knowledge on effective CTE instruction and inform best practices, with implications for institutional policy-making and professional development initiatives in CTE programs.
