Abstract

This study examines the impact of racialization on educational outcomes for Muslim immigrants in the United States. Utilizing data from the Pew Research Center's 2017 Survey of U.S. Muslims, it explores how generational status—first, second, and third generation—affects educational attainment. The findings reveal significant links between generational status and educational outcomes, with a notable impact from experiences of discrimination. The study highlights the importance of developing culturally sensitive educational policies to support Muslim students and address their unique challenges. It also provides insights into the intersectionality of race, ethnicity, and education, essential for crafting effective interventions that promote academic success and integration for this population.
