Abstract

Within the youth organizing field, young people are envisioned as community assets capable of addressing community issues identified by youth themselves. Through youth organizing campaigns, young people pinpoint a community need or challenge, investigate the underlying factors, and implement action projects to benefit their communities. Employing a qualitative research methodology, this paper examines six organizing groups, focusing on capacity building and organizational learning to support youth organizing and youth-led social change initiatives. Additionally, the paper explores the effects of youth organizing and political education trainings on enhancing the systemic analysis skills of emerging organizers. Finally, this article discusses broader implications for the field.
