Abstract

Little research has explored the contributions of educational leadership preparation at HBCUs as incubators of social activism and social action within the educational ecosystem. This study will explore the ways in which educational leadership preparation programs at HBCUs provide practical skills for leaders, while preparing them to lead through societal issues via social action. The researcher will explore educational leadership preparation at HBCUs at the intersection of race, social movements, and policy measures as tools for activism, social justice, and liberatory practices.
