Students' Experience With Artificial Intelligence: Does GPA Make a Difference?

Thu, April 24, 9:50 to 11:20am MDT (9:50 to 11:20am MDT), The Colorado Convention Center, Floor: Meeting Room Level, Room 608

Abstract

This quantitative study examines the impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools on students with varying Cumulative Grade Point Averages (CGPAs). Focusing on four primary questions, the research explores how students with different CGPAs use AI for academic tasks, their perceptions of educational enhancement, time savings, and grade improvements. Analyzing survey data from 140 students using ANOVA and Chi-Square tests, findings reveal that students with lower CGPAs report significant benefits in grade improvements and stress management, while all students acknowledge time savings. This study contributes to understanding AI's role in education, offering insights for educators and policymakers to enhance educational approaches and support diverse student needs.
