Sat, April 26, 11:40am to 1:10pm MDT (11:40am to 1:10pm MDT), The Colorado Convention Center, Floor: Terrace Level, Bluebird Ballroom Room 3D

Abstract

This systematic review explored the adoption of generative artificial intelligence (GAI) in higher education, focusing on its integration into teaching and learning practices. Analyzing 37 articles using the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) model, the review investigated how college students and faculty perceived GAI technologies. Key concerns such as data privacy, plagiarism, and the potential replacement of educators highlight significant hesitations. Findings suggest a growing interest in GAI for enhancing educational outcomes, though challenges related to its acceptance and ethical use persist. The review calls for further research to explore these dimensions comprehensively.
