This study explores the impact of school support systems on college application outcomes for first-generation and continuing education students. It examines differences in support between public and private schools, the effects of counselor contact, college preparatory programs, and financial aid assistance on application numbers and acceptance rates, and how these effects vary between student groups. Key findings reveal that first-generation students submit fewer applications and have lower acceptance rates, counselor contact and parental support significantly boost application numbers and acceptance rates, and public-school students receive less support than their private school counterparts. Improving counselor availability and parental engagement in public schools is important for fostering equitable educational opportunities.
