This paper extends the concept of empathic accuracy to enhance moral education by proposing a comprehensive framework that incorporates emotional, cognitive, and motivational components of empathy. The study addresses limitations in current empathy research by exploring these components and developing criteria for evaluating empathy in educational settings. By reconceptualizing empathy as an interpersonal construct rather than an individual ability, the paper suggests a shift in teaching and learning processes. The proposed framework emphasizes the importance of assessing characteristics of learner and their situations attributes to tailor empathy instruction. Additionally, the study introduces a detailed analysis of components and levels of empathy, providing a foundation for more precise evaluation and development of empathic abilities in moral education.
