Abstract

This study explores the influence of a China-U.S. COIL project on pre-service teachers’ global competence and identifies key components of COIL contributing to global competence. The exploration can help to enhance the preparation of pre-service teachers for the globalized world, foster an inclusive and culturally aware learning environment, and inform the design and implementation of future COIL projects for teacher education. Specifically, this research focuses on the following questions.
