Abstract

The study examines the program’s objectives, including fostering a global perspective on special education, developing cross-cultural competencies, and enhancing participants’ ability to adapt inclusive education methods in diverse urban environments. Findings from student reflections, interviews, and community partner feedback demonstrate the impact of the program on both participants and host communities, highlighting challenges and successes in building sustainable international education initiatives. This presentation offers insights into the logistical, pedagogical, and collaborative processes involved in developing study abroad programs that emphasize transformative learning and social justice in education.
