This paper examines how transborder communities cruise and produce linguistic landscapes as expressions of embodied conocimiento. Specifically, I explore how Chicanx artistic productions in a Midwestern city embody teachings that reveal a complex, deep symbolic system transcending and defying educational, linguistic, and cultural borders. Drawing from the tradition of Chicana feminisms and ethnographic data, I critically and dialectically engage with Chicana/x feminist perspectives, low-riding aesthetics, and artistic modes of intervention to understand how transborder communities push against educational disparities. In doing so, I seek to unsettle traditional understandings of learning to explain how linguistic landscapes can be understood as sites of remedy, repair, and renewal.
