Fri, April 25, 9:50 to 11:20am MDT (9:50 to 11:20am MDT), The Colorado Convention Center, Floor: Terrace Level, Bluebird Ballroom Room 3A

Abstract

Youth Participatory Action Research (YPAR) empowers young people by engaging them in research that addresses community issues. This poster illustrates how YPAR fosters critical thinking, enhances leadership skills, and builds resilience among youth. By involving participants in the research process, YPAR not only amplifies their voices but also contributes to positive community change and personal growth. In accordance with AERA’s 2025 theme of research, remedy, and repair, YPAR is uniquely situated to promote an educational renewal that not only positively impacts the youth involved, but the adults as well.
