Along with Asian diaspora as theories and methodologies, we explore Asian diaspora as praxes embodied in our transnational experiences as a space to decolonize and deimperialize educational practices that plague U.S. institutions. We critique Asian diaspora experiences as part of contemporary curriculum knowledge situated within broader historical and ongoing conditions of exclusion, disposability, and dehumanization in the United States to empower Asian diasporas to assert agency, defy systemic oppression, and work in coalition with other minoritized communities to build multiracial protest that engenders healing and justice. In particular, we engage in creative and interdisciplinary praxes to illustrate how Asian diaspora can serve as a fertile group for scholarly inquiries to uplift Asian diasporas’ anti-imperialist and anti-racist practices across educational spaces.
