Abstract

This study examines the impact of entrepreneurship education on music students in U.S. colleges and universities, focusing on how these courses shape students' perceptions and prepare them for music industry careers. Despite the growing emphasis on entrepreneurship in higher education, a significant gap exists in understanding its impact on music students. This study investigates different entrepreneurship course offerings, music majors' perspectives, and recommendations to address the knowledge gap. Grounded in Arts Entrepreneurship, the qualitative study utilizes classroom observations and interviews of music students at BigTen institutions. The findings are anticipated to provide valuable guidance to educators, policymakers, and students, enhancing efforts to cultivate students' skills for their future professional pursuits.
