Abstract

This paper highlights the importance of Black women’s freedom to express their full identity without fear or repression as central to collective liberation. When Black women embrace their "magic," it empowers them and strengthens the collective fight for racial and gender justice. We explore the concept of Black Girl Magic as a celebration of Black women’s brilliance, strength, and resilience. The paper also examines how this concept affirms their identity and potential, linking to community and mentorship as support, self-worth, and empowerment. We emphasize the need for creating environments that foster self-love, self-expression, and collective solidarity, where Black women can thrive and reclaim their agency.
