Abstract

There is much evidence regarding the need for and challenges of including ethics in CS education. More recently there have been calls to embed ethics learning throughout CS education, and this research aims to contribute to this call with the case study of an intelligent digital simulation tool which allows undergraduate CS students to rehearse scenarios in many of their courses based on the ACM Code of Ethics. This repeated practice in CS education would support students to go beyond learning about the code and to embody it as a way of being so that as computing professionals they will contribute to developing technology for the benefit of all people.
