Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic brought about unprecedented educational changes and challenges in language instructors’ instructional and personal experiences. This study aims to examine the experiences of postsecondary language instructors before, during, and after the pandemic through narrative inquiry and aspects of self-study. The study is grounded in a social constructivist framework. Preliminary findings are based on individual interviews conducted with seven language instructors along with my self-reflective notes. I focus on instructors’ creative teaching and rapport building despite the stress of navigating transitions in uncertain times.
