This study addresses a gap in understanding how university lecturers exercise teacher agency to initiate and sustain partnerships within and beyond their institutions. Partnerships, defined here as structured collaborations between universities, community groups, and societal organizations to enhance educational impact, are essential for innovation and engagement. This study investigates how lecturers, as central agents, navigate their roles in forming these partnerships while balancing academic, institutional, and community interests.
