Abstract

Will demonstrate the academic benefits of Partner Schools’ pedagogies. We identify matched groups of students in Partner Schools and mainstream English-medium programs, comparing English language arts, mathematics, and Indigenous language development. Partner School students score as highly or higher than carefully matched peers in mainstream classrooms; demonstrate remarkable levels of ancestral-language proficiency; and develop strong identities and a desire to give back to their communities.
