Abstract

This study examined the perceptions of lecturers at a Teacher Education College who collaborated to plan and prepare their courses. The focus was on their shared experience. The study involved semi-structured, in-depth interviews with 20 lecturers who participated in working groups for course preparation. Their responses revealed their concerns, dilemmas, methods for adapting to this new approach, and suggestions for enhancing the process. The findings highlighted the challenges of collaborative course preparation, acknowledging the lecturers' concerns about academic freedom, copyrights, and privacy.
The study's findings emphasize the potential advantages of teamwork in developing academic courses and offer a roadmap for maximizing these benefits. The roadmap provides steps to enhance the advantages of this practice in teaching.
