Abstract

This study explores the impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools in the academic field, highlighting both their benefits and limitations. It discusses how AI can optimize the time of students, professors, and researchers, facilitating tasks such as plagiarism detection, activity design, and research assistance. However, significant challenges are also identified, including plagiarism risks and the need for ethical use of these technologies. The study emphasizes the importance of integrating Technological Knowledge (TK), Pedagogical (PK) and Content Knowledge (CK) to maximize the benefits of AI in the academic environment. In addition, it is highlighted that AI does not replace creativity and critical analysis but must be complemented with in-depth knowledge for the formulation of new theories and approaches in research.
