Sat, April 26, 1:30 to 3:00pm MDT (1:30 to 3:00pm MDT), The Colorado Convention Center, Floor: Exhibit Hall Level, Exhibit Hall F - Poster Session

Abstract

This study examines the effectiveness of Comprehensive Support and Improvement (CSI) designations under the Every Student Succeeds Act in fostering school improvement. Using a mixed methods design, the research analyzed quantitative performance data and qualitative school improvement plans. Results showed substantial growth improvement in CSI schools, though achievement gains were limited. Qualitative analyses revealed recurring themes in improvement strategies, with successful schools employing unique, student-focused approaches. These findings emphasize the role of tailored interventions in improving growth outcomes. Future research will analyze school expenditure data to further triangulate findings and enhance understanding of CSI effectiveness.
