This symposium provides an overview of the Dismantling Anti-Black Racism Strategy (DABRS) within one of Canada’s School Boards, highlighting its progress and impact on promoting equity in education. The first presentation details the DABRS initiative and its implementation across the district. The second focuses on a racial literacy project for grade 5 teachers, showcasing tools like the traffic light tool. The final presentation examines the results of the racial literacy training, demonstrating its effectiveness in significantly raising teachers' racial competency and knowledge.
