Session Type: Symposium
A growing body of research is examining the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in schools and classrooms, and numerous organizations have published guidance for responsible AI use in education. However, guidance to inform the use of AI by researchers themselves is limited, despite growing use of AI-enabled research tools and methods to support literature reviews, data collection, measurement, analysis, and reporting. In this session, participants representing the researcher, developer, and funder communities will discuss recent work to promote responsible AI use in education research and development (R&D). The session will foster understanding and collaboration for responsible AI use, highlighting the need for tailored guidance to help ensure that R&D meets the needs of the communities it is designed to serve.
