Session Type: Working Group Roundtable
This roundtable addresses the urgent need for alternative educational approaches amid a global polycrisis, advocating for systemic changes in education that promote holistic and social justice. This roundtable, featuring select alternatives from the book and a collective effort by The Alternatives Project (TAP), challenges hegemonic ideas perpetuated by neoliberal capitalism, militarism, patriarchy, racism, and other oppressive structures. TAP, a transnational coalition of academics, union members, activists, and social movement participants, envisions a foundational rethinking of education and society globally.
