Session Type: Symposium
Researchers and developers working on artificial intelligence (AI) in STEM Education will discuss the transformative uses of generative AI across STEM education research, teaching, and learning. We will begin with an overview followed by four presentations: (1) ethical approaches to AI in STEM education research, (2) AI for STEM teaching, (3) integrating research-based learning theory with AI, and (4) AI for STEM learning. A nationally recognized expert in AI in Education will act as Discussant and provide a synthesis of the presentations, papers, and moderate Q&A and panel discussion. The opportunities and challenges discussed will generate reflection and rich discussion for better supporting the use of AI to achieve positive and wide-reaching impact for STEM educators and learners.
