Session Type: Symposium
Using an adapted model of Positive Youth Development that centers the strengths of adolescent girls of Color, this symposium integrates diverse perspectives from scholars, practitioners, and youth committed to supporting the thriving of adolescent girls of Color in their everyday lives. The presentations in this symposium highlight the mindsets, practices, and competencies that adolescent girls of Color in the U.S. use to define themselves and critically navigate the social and power dynamics of their communities, schools, and broader society.
