Abstract

This symposium explores how podcasting can act as a transformative tool in education by democratizing knowledge and bridging gaps between academia and K-12 settings. This session features three podcasters from diverse educational contexts who will discuss how this medium challenges traditional hierarchies and fosters inclusive knowledge dissemination. Presentations will cover the impact of scholarly podcasts in expanding research accessibility, the role of teacher-podcasters in fostering inquiry-based professional development, and the potential of podcasts to support reconciliation and decolonization efforts in education. The session includes a live podcast recording, reflective discussions, and audience engagement, aiming to highlight the evolving role of digital media in educational reform and practice.
