Session Type: Roundtable Session
As we contemplate educational research and propose actions for remedy and repair, we must hear the voices of the individuals most impacted. This proposal centers Latine high school students’ voices by highlighting a range of their concerns and potential solutions to issues that are important to them. The four papers in this panel are part of a larger study examining a justice centered Grow Your Own (GYO) program intentionally designed to encourage students from the global majority to enter the educator workforce as an act of social justice to right the wrongs in and for their communities. Students’ voices are centered as each paper examines issues, as seen through their eyes and felt in their hearts.
