The use of Improvement Science methods within education and psychology research has steadily grown over the past thirty years, with substantial growth taking place over the last ten to fifteen years. As the use of improvement methods continues to grow, it is essential to understand the various measurement tools being used to track improvement efforts. The papers in this symposium highlight the successes and challenges of measuring improvement in school and out-of-school researcher-practitioner projects. During the session, presenters will share multiple quantitative and qualitative strategies they have used to measure the impact of their work. Finally, presenters will engage in a panel discussion on the highs and lows of engaging youth and adults in the measurement process.
