Session Type: Symposium
Although the Every Student Succeeds Act was authorized in 2015, to date there is little information about whether schools identified for Comprehensive Support and Improvement (CSI) are receiving supports that enable them to improve. Similarly, there is little empirical research about what activities CSI schools are undertaking in an effort to improve outcomes for all students. Blending perspectives of researchers, state education administrators, and discussants from both research and practice, this panel will describe policies and practices, while generating insights for the next reauthorization of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act.
