We highlight teacher candidate voice and co-construction of learning in Computational Thinking (CT) and Digital Equitable Literacies (DEL) instruction for educational renewal and repair. Without a co-learning paradigm it is difficult for teacher educators to both lead and participate in CTDEL initiatives. With this realization, our papers investigate the co-construction of CTDEL integrated curriculum in multilingual courses, the impact of tinkering, perceptions and values about how to justly integrate CTDEL, and how to develop practices that promote social justice. Utilizing a variety of methodological approaches, we provide alternatives to traditional models of CTDEL teaching and learning considering and elevating students’ voices - most of them belonging to minoritized groups- aiming to empower them as agents of their own learning.
