The Literacy Everywhere! Project is an exploratory, sequential design mixed methods study that used human-centered design to better understand the needs of homeless/housing insecure (H/HI) families with young children (0 to 5) related to accessing social service provisions and supporting their children’s early literacy practices. Findings from the five phases of this study were used to design responsive materials to support age 0-5 children’s early literacy learning, connect families with local and state-wide resources, and inform the professional development of early care and learning professionals. A central goal of this study is to foreground the voices, experiences and expertise of families with young children experiencing H/HI.
