Session Type: Paper Session
This session explores educational leaders' complex experiences navigating intersecting identities of race, gender, and sexuality in educational spaces. Drawing from diverse topics such as culturally affirming coaching for Latinx leaders, the unique challenges Black male principals face, identity formation in leadership, the professional dynamics of women in leadership roles, and the representation of queer students of color, the presenters will engage in a robust discussion on the barriers and opportunities leaders encounter. This session aims to deepen our understanding of how leaders from marginalized communities shape their professional identities, advocate for equity, and foster inclusive environments that affirm diverse voices and experiences in schools.
