Session Type: Poster Session

Abstract

The papers in this poster session explore the intersection of power dynamics, identity construction, and marginalized voices within educational and social contexts. The first study investigates how undergraduate students engage with mindfulness practices to challenge oppressive ideologies and enhance critical learning. The second study highlights youth as transformative agents through their spatial reclamation efforts in community settings, emphasizing their role in advocating for social change. The third study analyzes how top Chinese universities employ visual branding strategies on social media to construct identities and project academic excellence, while also revealing gender disparities in representation. Together, these papers underscore the significance of centering marginalized perspectives in education and illustrate transformative practices that foster agency, inclusivity, and social justice.
