Session Type: Paper Session
This session presents four papers exploring innovative methods for assessing cognitive development in education. The first paper introduces dynamic measurement (DM) as a framework for capturing evolving constructs like students' learning potential, offering a new validation approach. The second paper examines the impact of peer evaluation on creative thinking and collaborative knowledge construction, using the ICAP framework and AIGC tools. The third analyzes reading performance trends in Ireland using PIRLS data, providing insights into literacy development. The final paper investigates the influence of extracurricular activities on spatial skills and gender differences, highlighting informal learning's role in cognitive growth. Together, these studies offer new perspectives on educational measurement and cognitive assessment.
