Abstract

This session presents recent innovations in psychometric research and educational testing practices. It covers a range of topics, including cognitive modeling for verbal analogy tasks, new development of validity method, multilevel reliability estimates for school-based behavioral measures, insights from analysis of state testing programs on the diversity of testing purposes across the U.S., and the ongoing discussion around test-optional college admissions. This session aims to enhance our understanding of assessment design, validity, and reliability.
