Session Type: Paper Session
Following the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, the federal government allocated stimulus funds to K-12 school districts at unprecedented levels. Recent research shows these funds have had positive impacts for students, but were not large enough to address the full impacts of the pandemic. This session provides an overview of how federal stimulus funds were allocated and spent in various contexts. To set the stage for these analyses, the session begins with a paper estimating the per-pupil cost of providing an adequate education and equal educational opportunity.
