Session Type: Paper Session
Papers presented in this session investigate the role of assessment in promoting equity and inclusivity within educational contexts. Topics include the impact of teacher licensure exams on demographic representation in the teaching profession, the TOEFL assessment's reliability in preparing international students for higher education, as well as exploring how the digital assessment knowledge of college tutors in Ghana influence assessment practices and the importance of equitable digital assessment strategies. Together, these papers emphasize the need for transformative assessment practices that not only evaluate performance but also foster equity and inclusion in education. Participants will engage in a meaningful discussion on how to rethink current assessment methodologies to better support diverse learners and enhance educational outcomes (OpenAI, 2024).
