Abstract

Responding to the AERA 2025 Annual Meeting theme, "Research, Remedy, and Repair: Toward Just Education Renewal," this session invites a discussion on the lifelong journey and dedication to becoming educational researchers. Focusing on anti-racism, cultural responsiveness, and ethics—critical issues gaining increasing attention in the field—this session offers an interdisciplinary space for both early career and experienced researchers. Together, we will explore how our research decisions shape justice, equity, and inclusion within broader sociopolitical contexts. This session aims to foster a deeper reflection on our collective responsibility as educational scholars.
